3 Christians Dating Tip: Making the Most of Your Time When Visiting Another Church

If the group attending the service is quite small, and you don’t meet any singles in your age group there and then, go ahead and let the pastor and any of the older ladies know why you’re there.  I mention the elderly ladies because at least from what I have seen over the years that it’s women who do more of the fixing up referrals for romance than men typically will.

They may fix you up with someone or make a recommendation of another service time or study when more singles at their congregation attend.  They can help you become aware of what is not announced in the church bulletin or is not on their website.  They can give you the inside scoop quite quickly or point you to who does know.  Not every church officially has a Christian Singles Ministry.  However, the singles within a church will often find ways to cluster and support each other.  Sometimes a ministry group or study forms which is when they all unofficially without the label of being a Singles Ministry informal do just that!

Christian Singles Ministry Tip #1:

One San Francisco Bay Are Christian church’s Singles Ministry, the singles were the ones who visited a local nursing home Sunday afternoons after church.

Christian Singles Ministry Tip #2:

Another Northern California church’s singles made a point of rotating service with the nursery that ran during church service times.  It proved to be an excellent practice ground for develop parenting and childcare skills for a generation that often didn’t have a lot of brothers and sisters growing up to practice diaper changing on.

Christian Singles Ministry Tip #3:

Single Christian Man Woman Singles Ministry Group Sunday Service
Single Christians Talking Over Coffee Ministry Group

Lastly, another San Francisco / Silicon Valley area Christian church’s singles would unofficially gaggle as a group to go out for a bite to eat after the Sunday evening church service.  Intriguingly enough, this is often a time when a sort of sister church’s singles at church nearby will swing on by and join the group.  Speaking to the church pastors about your interest in their Christian Singles Ministry program even if it is social and unofficial can prove quite fruitful.

So, when you do visit a church’s additional church service times, bring an extra few dollars and plan to hang about for a little bit.  Often there are informal not “official” (as in you won’t find it in the Church’s Singles Ministry section on their website) social gatherings of the single Christians at a given church.

You do want to be focused in your time and efforts for specifically looking for your Christian Soul Mate.  However, sometimes the path God leads you on to find that be a bit meandering.  Keep an open heart and mind about the guides and intermediaries God may place in your path to prove the quality of sweetness of your spirit to point you in the right direction.  Stay open to love and keep looking.  And God will speed the day for you!

  1. These are good tips. I’ve always been kind of shy when trying a new church…if I don’t see any young people in the service I assume there aren’t any. But that’s probably not true and by reaching out to others in the service it may be possible to find more effective ways to meet people my age.

  2. Tip #3 strikes me as unique. That would be a great thing for more churches to do.

  3. It doesn’t hurt for some of the senior ladies having a go at matchmaking , sometimes they may be on the money.

  4. Talking to the older ladies is such a great idea! You are right, I have found them to be particularly interested in helping others find love.

  5. Very few people go to church nowadays in my country. I only know about one church in Barcelona that actually has a great program where many people attend. More or less once a week or every two weeks they organise a classic spanish guitar concert. I know that that day the church is always full and it can be a great event to meet new people.

  6. Sound and practical advice! Especially about asking around at the service to see when other services might be taking place that might better suit your age group.
