If you are single and you’re traveling somewhere next week for the United States Thanksgiving holiday, you will have a ton of very casual opportunities to meet and interact with quite a lot of other people.  The Wednesday day before Thanksgiving is the biggest travel day for airlines and air traffic.  A lot of people also will traveling by train or bus alternatively.

Tip 2: Many Singles Traveling for Thanksgiving: Leverage the Law of Large Numbers

What that means for you is that your leveraging the Law of Large Numbers is easy to do.  The Law of Large Numbers suggests that when you are looking for a target group or market, look to identify some places which is where they gather is, yes, large numbers.  Go with the natural flow of what people are already doing to locate your target market.  In the middle of a blizzard is not the best time to work on your tan at the beach.  Go with the flow of what is already going on and happening.  On Wednesday and even a bit next Tuesday, many people will be at the airports, bus stations, and train stations all across the United States.

Tip 3: When You’re a Single Traveling for Thanksgiving: Bring Personal Cards

When you are traveling yourself, do aim to bring plenty of business cards along with you if it is appropriate to give out your work contact information on a personal level.  If it is not appropriate with your workplace or your profession, then do create, print, and carry with you plenty of personal cards.

Tip 4: Where Can You Sit to Meet More Singles Over Thanksgiving Travels?

During your travel day, aim to sit more in the travel lounges, the bars, the coffee bars, the sandwich places, more so than the sitting waiting area for your flight’s gate.  In those areas, other travels are more likely to be willing just to chat with you very casually.  Of course, because of the nature of the internet, do be protective of your personal privacy as well as theirs.  One way to great conversational rapport and to establish just a little bit of safety is to reveal a little bit more about yourself first before you ask any such personal information revealing question about themselves.  College age kids and university graduate students almost have it easy in this area.  You can always ask the others if they are in college or studying something.  Then reveal where you are at college, your major, your program of study, or something about yourself that way.
