SF Singles Scene: Menlo Park LDS Single Christians Conference Sat April 14
My former living in San Francisco and the Bay Area is showing through because of my use of the term “Mid-Peninsula.” “The Peninsula” is the term for all the towns and cities between San Jose and San Francisco. That said…
The LDS Christian Singles group (30 somethings – early 40s) are hosting a wonderful full day Single Christians Conference on Saturday, April 14th, in Menlo Park. (I used to live there. MP is about at Mid-Peninsula as you can get.)
This Christian Singles Conference is for 8 Stakes (think “churches,” “parishes,” or “congregations” to get an idea of the size and scope here) in the SF South Bay Area. Plus this conference does pull in attendance from singles from outside of the immediate San Francisco Bay Area. Which means, this is the sort of event where if you’re a Christian Single, you will do very well in easily meeting quite a variety of Regionally Local Singles.
The day will feature a fun and engaging mix of workshops service projects in the afternoon, and games in the evening and, of course, food! The workshop can often give you Safe Conversational Topics fodder to break the ice with the other singles who you meet there. The service projects are wonderful to give back as part of your Christian path as well as serves as a wonderful way to casually and comfortably interact with others without having to think up small talk conversational topics. And the Keynote speech which closes the day before the evening dance stimulates your mind and spirit at the same time.
LDS Christian Singles Conference Details for Single Adults
Where: Menlo Park Stake Center, 1105 Valparaiso Ave, Menlo Park, CA
When: Saturday, April 14th, 2012
9:00 am – 11:30 pm
Registration and Breakfast run from 9:00 – 9:50 am
Welcome starts at 10:00
The workshop part of the day ends at 8:00 pm after a 5:30 pm dinner.
Naturally, there is a singles dance (these are the LDS, not the Baptists, so no coffee but there is dancing. I’m Christian myself, so I get to joke gently about our differences and where they are and what we care massively about.) 8:30 – 11:30 pm.
The theme of this LDS Christian Singles Conference is: Cleansing the Inner Vessel

I didn’t know that San Francisco area was called “the Peninsula”. We also call sometimes Spain “the Peninsula”. San Francisco seems such an amazing place with all kind of events and so many events for singles.
