Dating Tips for San Francisco Single Women: Attend Bachelors of San Francisco Annual Cocktails on Maiden Lane First Thursday in October
Among the best social events during the social season in San Francisco is the Bachelors of San Francisco Annual “Cocktails on Maiden Lane” fundraiser event. The Bachelors of San Francisco is a charitable organization of men – not all of whom are single – who raise funds each year. Their sister organization, both of which started in 1920s San Francisco, is The Spinsters of San Francisco, also a social charitable organization.
I formerly lived, dated, courted, and married in San Francisco, so as a Dating Expert and coach, I am quite familiar with a number of the intricacies of single women’s dating lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. There truly are certain challenges.
Well, allow me to share with you one of my favorite San Francisco insider dating secrets: Cocktails on Maiden Lane. Maiden Lane – that chic little haunt in the downtown shopping district of San Francisco which Gumps and a number of the top hair salons like Joseph Cozza Salon and Bridal Salons like Marina Morrison – closes down. The whole lane is closed to traffic and only ticket holders can gain access to Maiden Lane that evening.
Typically the sponsors of the event feature amazing cocktails, noshes, and h’ordeuvres. Each alcohol vendor features fabulous treats. Now, as a frequenter of the annual event, allow me to advise you not to pass by a h’ordeuvres which you desire at a vendor booth thinking that you will be able to come back and the delicacies will still be there. Now, mind you, the vendors are generous with their offerings. It’s just that all the party going revelers are enjoying them, too. There might be lines. Go ahead and get into the ones at the vendor offerings that you desire. Take advantage while you can!
Additionally, get there early! None of that arriving fashionably late social etiquette. Often there is a gaggle from the marvelous Spinsters of San Francisco meeting an hour or so before hand at one of the nearby bars like The Blue Martini.
The size and scale of the event make it easy to chit chat with many of the other revelers. Indeed, this event is fun. You are assisting a good cause. And it’s easy to meet and mingle at a fabulous social event.
Go ahead, purchase your ticket now, put your best cocktail dress on, and have a fun time!
Happy Dating and Relationships,
