If you’re an Orange County CA based single then you may be living in the deep suburbs where just about everyone else around you is married and a family. It can seem incredibly difficult to actually meet other singles like yourself. It’s not like living in metropolitan cities with neighborhoods and districts which encourage casual social interaction. You can’t just rely on the social events of daily life to offer you romantic opportunities. You have to make your opportunities.
One such fun opportunity is the Lake Forest Parade. Now the fun thing about a parade is that it really does foster a bit of very casual social interaction. Even if you don’t move about the place and simply stand watching the parade, with so much passing by you, you can just comment and casually converse with the people standing next to you and near by you.
The Lake Forest is Monday, July 4th, starting at 10:00 am at the El Toro High School. The parade then heads north on Toledo Way, east on Lake Forest Drive, and ends south on Serrano Road. The theme for this year is “Celebrating Independence on Our 20th Birthday!”
For more information, phone the Lake Forest Community Services 949-461-3450. For more information: Lake Forest
If you’re looking for a fireworks festival display near Lake Forest, I’ll cover that in tomorrow’s blog post as part of my 4th of July in Orange County, CA series.

June 27, 2011 at 3:37 AMGosh April , it’s all happening . What a fantastic time to meet and greet a different range of people . If singles don’t get of their backsides and attend some of these events , they are simply not serious about linking up with someone .

June 27, 2011 at 1:24 PMSounds like a great deal of fun! I love parades! To me they create a wholesome feeling. Easy to chat up the people around you. And since parades have soemthing for everyone, it shouldn’t be too difficult to find whatever you’re looking for.
