Celebrating the 4th of July with family, friends and fireworks is part of the great American tradition of celebrating Independence Day festivities.
When you’re single, sometimes we must strive to develop a second family, like many of us do right after college in our early 20s, if we do not live nearby our own families. People to celebrate holidays with. Just because we are single of all different ages need not necessitate staying at home and being a wall flower with nothing to do unless there is a specific singles dance.
Part of the cluster of people to weave into your second family circle of friends definitely aim to include families with children. Might be young kids. Might be teenagers. Just, strive to not be adult singles or adult childless couples exclusive. Allow me to let you in on a secret many do not learn until the hit their 60s and certainly by the time the are in their 70s.
As adults, we are all just big kids when it comes to celebrating and having fun.
By making sure to have a few kids around, they both keep us in touch with our fun frolicking side and we help to keep some safety parameters up for them, coming not only from their parents. Go ahead, enjoy the eating of hot dogs and face painting and anything fun which you really enjoyed just for fun as a kid.
This coming 4th of July, there are tons of Fireworks celebrations. And I will certainly be mentioning a number of them. It all ends up depending on where you are that evening of the 4th of July for which one you will attend or observe.
Tustin, CA offers a public display of fireworks for FREE (our favorite price!) and there is bleacher seating as well as room to spread out your blanket.
The Tustin Boosters will be offering some snacks and sodas for sale which is a fundraiser for them, so do bring along a few bucks.
And by the way, for the OC Singles, the snack shack area is one of the areas where you can easily and casually interact with the other folks who will be attending the fireworks display. Think back to your days as a pre-teen and in high school. The snack bar area is often where people congregate and naturally cluster. There will for sure be some kind of a line…. Which means you can just in a warm friendly fashion say hello, wish them a Happy 4th of July, and utter a few (only a FEW!) friendly conversational sentences to the people in front of you and behind you in line. Just sort of casually chit chat. Same thing over at the condiment area.
THAT is how you can meet people at such a public event. The bleachers make it harder to converse with others, but if you sit there, do hello to your neighbors. Bringing a blanket and a few friends makes it easier to chit chat with others around you. And you have the social excuse of walking to and from the snake shack to just casually happen upon the cute guy or girl you spotted a few blanket spots over from you. Ask for directions. Stumble. Drop your napkins (not your soda!) to give you an ice breaker excuse to utter a few sentences. A few sentences is all you need to get started. If there is flirtation and sparks, get a phone number, invite them to visit your blanket to share a soda, and phone for a date later!
The entrance for the Tustin 4th of July Fireworks display is on San Juan. For additional information about the event, phone the Parks & Recreation Department at (714) 573-3326.

June 22, 2011 at 9:51 PMIts real nice to see the community put together a fun family day event like this. Here in Pahrump, Nevada, they have hosted a similiar event for the last 20+ years that I know of. Its definitely a good place to get out, have some fun and meet people!
Thanks!
