Huntington Beach Old World Village Oktoberfest Dog Party Saturday Oct
Orange County Singles have another fun opportunity to comfortably, casually, and easily meet people. Part of what is so fun and cool about this event is involves really cute doggies and a little beer drinking.
Huntington Beach’s Oktoberfest which you might recall I brought up previously at my blog hosts a special Saturday event the last Saturday of the Fest. They have a special dog race. This is not just the dachshund races they’ve been having on Sundays. This one is for Small Dogs. They define small dogs as dogs under 25 pounds. And because it is just before Halloween, the folks at Old World Village wrap some Halloween Themes into the event. Hence, it is called, Howling Hund Halloween Pawty. I know. Really. Yes, it’s too cute.
And what’s even cuter yet? Dog owners are encouraged to dress up their small dogs in, yes, Halloween Costumes. It is unbelievably cute. Sorry, I’m gushing. It’s just really, it is SO cute. They encourage this further by having a Dog Costume Contest. Additionally there is Trick or Treating, some fun prizes, food, and yes, a small dog race. Yes, this is the time for some serious Pawtying!
Admission for the special event is only $12.95. That includes FOOD! You get a choice of Chicken or Bratwurst. Remember, this is Oktoberfest and Old World Village features German Culture and German food. With your entre, you get a choice of 2 side dishes. The $12.95 admission does not include drinks. That way, you can choose to enjoy some of the amazing German Beers featured in the Oktoberfest festivities, or a soft drink. Your choice.
Event Details:
When: Saturday October 29, 2011
12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

To register your dog for the races, small dog races, contact Paws at the Coffee Mill (a super cute doggie store). They feature the famous dachshund races at their front page. It is is too cute. You’ll want to go see the little YouTube video clip. The doggie races start at 12:30 pm. All dogs who enter the races win a participation prize where, yes, “Every Weiner Is a Winner.” (I told you this was so cute. They definitely have a warm sense of humor.)
You might be wondering how this is good for singles in Orange County. A number of social groups, including some singles social groups plan to attend the . (Please envision April with a really big broad grin.) If you’re a regular reader of my Dating Relationship Blog, then you know I recommend a variety of events and activities to get out and meet people, both to practice your dating skills and just perchance possibly meet someone to date. I’m not sure if I will be in Orange County or Las Vegas that weekend. But I gotta say, if I am in The OC, I will so be there for this Howling good time Pawty! If I’m there, I’ll take a ton of photos to share.

October 16, 2011 at 1:07 AMI bet that would be a great ice breaker for a First Date in Orange County and it would be a good way to get some exercise chasing after the dogs. I would like to see a dog dressed up like a robot… :o)
