So, if you’re a single who just enjoyed the fun 4th of July Parade Monday morning, July 4th, over in Lake Forest, CA, then you might be wondering where you’re going to catch a good fireworks display in the evening of Independence Day. Well, head on over to Aliso Viejo in the evening starting at 6:00 pm to see the Independence Day Fireworks Celebration!
Now, in fact, this is something which as a single you can leverage. During the morning over at the Lake Forest 4th of July Parade, maybe you met someone. You’d like to suggest a safe activity where you can just casually interact a little bit more, chat a bit more, all to establish comfort, safety, and security so you can ask for or accept a date once you get there.
So what is a safe thing you can ask them about after you have just casually chit chatted with them this morning in Lake Forest. “Hey, where’re you going to watch the Fireworks tonight? Are you headed over to Aliso Viejo to watch them there?”
“Oh yeah, I’m meeting up with a group of friends. We’re having BBQ in the afternoon and then we’ll watch the Fireworks display in Aliso Viejo. Why? Are you going to be there?” [BTW, if someone just asked you the initial inquiring question, that is the kinda slightly while still safely protecting your personal information response you can securely give someone. And then by lobbing that additional question or two over to them, you help them to continue the conversation and perceive that you are just a little bit interested. Without yet fully committing yourself to anything.]
And then you can invite them to connect with you while you are there. “Yeah. I’ll buy you a soda if we manage to meet up over there. Where’ll you all be viewing from? Can I get your phone number so we can be sure to connect when we get there. I’ll be there with a few friends, too. Should be great fun.”
The festivities:
Monday, July 4th, 2011
6:00 – 9:30 pm
Grand Park
Aliso Viejo, CA
The festivities include live entertainment and free (that’s what they tell me!) face painting and bounce houses. Soft drinks and food are available for purchase and there’ll also be some arts and crafts. Food sales proceeds to benefit local non-profits. Apparently there will be a homemade apple pie contest, but I’m not sure how you can volunteer to be an official taster! The fireworks display starts at dusk.
