Could the New Year Hold New Love in the Cards for You?
When a New Love Relationship features high towards the top of your New Year’s Resolutions
Now that the After-Christmas sales have started and everyone is racing around either to post the Christmas presents they got and didn’t want and are now looking to resell online at Ebay or they are shopping over at Amazon with one of the awesome gift cards they received, many singles have it mulling around in the back of their minds that this year is just about over and finding the love relationship they’ve been desiring has still not happened for them.
Christmas shopping leads to After-Christmas shopping and the end-of-December week devoted to pondering and crafting your New Year’s Resolutions for the year ahead.

If you’re like many of today’s modern singles, you’re probably already very busy with your professional life, right? In fact, you might be one of the millions of Americans who are stressed out with their current jobs and are worried about the stability of their jobs in today’s economy.
Sure, you desire a major relationship in your life, but who has the time and energy to devote to the singles scene and bar hopping like they did in the 1970s “Looking for Mr. Goodbar” after all?
I’m not going to suggest that you dress scantily or douse yourself in cheap aftershave and hit singles bars on a nightly basis. That’s so last century.
What I do want you to do is to decide for yourself if finding the right mate for you really matters to you. It’s your choice.
Many modern singles were raised to put the focus and massive emphasis on developing their careers first and to postpone thinking of finding a life partner, getting married, and starting a family until well after they are established professionally. Well, if you follow that advice too tightly, then you’ll end up like Healthcliff in “Wuthering Heights,” coming back from earning your fortune only to find that True Love won’t wait forever.
The good news for Facebook Era singles is that you can find lasting love at any age.
Before you too quickly buy into the myth that there is only one soul mate out there for you and that you should be devoting yourself to finding “That One” person for, please know, I’ve been there and am there again myself.
I was married in my early 30s and then became widowed, only to be dating again. I am now in my next Life Partner caliber relationship. Both men are wonderful matches for me.
I don’t want you “settling” in anyway shape or form.
Nor do I want you waiting for “perfection.”
None of us is perfect. If we devote our dating lives to finding Ms. Perfect or Mr. Perfect, we’re wasting our time, and we’ll grow grayer and grayer waiting to find that illusive non-existent perfection.
Once we give ourselves permission to admit first to ourselves that finding that kind of Life Partner love relationship really matters to us and is in fact a top priority for us, then we can order our lives and our New Year appropriately and accordingly to reflect that.
I’ve done. I’ve done it twice in fact.
You can, too.
But first, it starts with you, a truthful reflection, and then a decision.

Or maybe you’re just a touch young for wedded bliss, and you just craving a major love relationship only with an eye towards eventually getting married in a few years, but not just quite yet, thank you very much. Quite a number of my internet dating matchmaking profile writing clients fall into that category. They want to get married. They want to have children. However, not just quite yet. Those singles are in that RIPENING phase of life and relationships. If you’re a counterpart single at the online dating websites and you are overlooking such folks, then you just might be missing out massively. Just because they are not already ready for wedding bells and marriage today doesn’t mean that they won’t be ready for that in about 12 – 18 more months. If you’re the one they are dating and seeing when their internal singles clock switches to COURTSHIP, then you will be the one they marry. Keep an open mind out when you are seeking love online at the internet matchmaking singles sites on the web.
There are so many activities you could be pursuing. Please, I know, when you get home after a hard day at the office or on your job, you’re tired you probably just want to crash on your coach, turn on your television or the internet for a little gaming fun, hang, chill, and do nothing.
I get it.
Just if what you desire in New Love this year, then, instead at least 2x if not 3x this week, I want you to race home, grab a bite to eat, shower or simply freshen your look (guys, this means shave that 5 o’clock shadow off of your face), spritz on some parfum or after shave cologne Por Homme, and get right back out there. Trust me on this one. The older you get, the more of a concerted effort to meet other aligned singles you simply must make. This is not high school or college. You will simply not make it by just relying upon the belief that “if it’s meant to be, it will happen.”
