Yup, it’s Monday, and you’re wondering, what on EARTH is our Dating Coach thinking to bring up my plans for this weekend? I mean LAST weekend just ended, right?
Perfect.
Starting to think about your singles seeking activities next weekend now gives you all week. That gives you plenty of time to assess your previous weekend’s activities, results, and work on your Dating Strategy.
In my working as a Dating Coach, I’m usually coaching my clients early in the week so they can DO THINGS NOW to actually have more dates this coming weekend. Get it?
Whereas with my Relationship Coach clients (yes, often 1 becomes the other or vice versa) usually want their coaching Saturday morning or late in the week to address what’s been going on this week, to practice the communication tools we’ve been working on, and to report back.
So, what’re your plans for this coming weekend? A great way to think about it is to re-assess from LAST weekend. What did you do? Did you meet new people? Any singles? Exchange phone numbers? Yes? No?
In which case, time to start contemplating some fun activities THIS weekend.
Get out your local newspaper – either the print edition or the online version and go check out the community calendar of events. Since it is still summer time for at least another month, you will probably have some Street Fair options. Some food festivals perhaps.
Circle 2 or 3 of these. Get the details and GO GO GO, ok?
Or you could feel free to stay at home alone for another weekend scrubbing your sink and downloading movies all alone.
Your choice.
What’re my recommendations? Turn off your computer, get out and MEET someone. Those meetings of several someones is what leads to 1 SOMEONE, that special someone for you.
Happy Dating and Relationships,
April Braswell

October 13, 2010 at 10:30 AMI followed your dating advice a couple of weekends ago. Actually turned off my computer, bought Barcelona night life magazine “in & out” and went out!
It was a very nice week end with friends and meeting new people!

December 9, 2011 at 12:36 PMApril, after my mother died, I found myself completely at loose ends.It was a year after my divorce. I did just what you suggest. Got the local paper…say that a singles group was meeting the next Thursday night at a church very near to where I lived. I went to that meeting and met a nice friend. She and I decided to go to the Singles Dance they were promoting that weekend. I went to that dance…and my new social life was born…I met dozens of new people and yes some of them I dated….but the start was getting that newspaper!
