Los Angles Singles Pulse: West Hills / Canoga Park LDS Christian Singles Informal Game Night Fridays
The LDS Christian Singles group for Mid-Singles covering ages 31 years old – 45 years old is hosting a casual game night this Friday evening. If you are single and the Christmas holiday shopping has your nerves just a little frazzled, kicking back and playing some fun casual games with other singles in a comfortable setting could be just the thing to de-stress yourself and unwind this Friday night.
The casual game night features both an athletic game of team volleyball as well as it includes board games. So if you are wanting to move your body to release some of those holiday shopping stress toxins or just to have fun athletically without having to join a gym or club, then the volleyball game might be just what you’re looking for. However, if you have been standing on your feet all week long with your security job or retail sales job, then your idea of fun ways to unwind might include sitting down and playing some board games.
Now what is so much fun about romantic chemistry and relationships is not that precisely the old adage, “Opposite Attract.” Instead real attraction and lasting love relationships often stem from where we are complementary in temperaments to each other. So, if you are an athletic single guy, you just might find you are romantically magnetized to a lady who is playing one of the board games, or perhaps brought a crochet or knitting ministry project along with her to do while she cheers and watches the volleyball game. Sure, she’ll get up and join in the game for a round or two, but her temperament which complements, tempers, and balances your just might be a touch more sedentary as she understands how to relax easily. And your more “get up and go and move!” temperament might help prompt her to get off the couch a few more times a week than what she tended towards 100% on her own.
So do attend these fun sort of game nights and do keep an open mind. In particular, be careful you don’t do what we all tend towards doing, just socializing in the clique of other singles you already know. Be sure to say hello and draw out others and new people. If you did any kind of missionary work, then you already know how to do this a little even if your gracious hospitable skills are a little rusty. I know married couples who met at these sort of events and started their wholesome courtship via a casual game night. Ya nevah know!
