Welcome to my dating advice and tips blog. Feel free to join in the conversation and leave a comment here. Continuing on the topic of Facebook Dating for singles, specifically for singles who live outside of your immediate metro area. Yesterday I addressed the Facebook Distance Dating topic initially and provided you with some warnings about investing a lot of time emailing and conversing on Facebook with singles who it’s unlikely you will meet in person. So with getting the Facebook Distance Dating warnings addressed, let’s get to what I suggest.
What do I recommend? Instead, continue to keep your guard up somewhat. And then in your email ssk them WHEN they will be visiting next.
Single men and women make ephemeral promises of potential travel. However, if you start a correspondence with them and hand out your phone number to them, you might find out weeks later after you have invested hours upon hours of communication exchange, getting your hopes up, and opening your heart to a complete stranger that they have no real intention of traveling there and no actual habitual business travel there.

They are open to the very romantically charged fantasy idea of traveling to your area. They are open to the idea. But right now, it is all still an absolute fantasy.
Do me a favor, please, and avoid this whole heartache and regretful situation which I hear about all the time in the dating coaching and expert work that I do online and at workshops.
What Works?
Don’t give them your phone number until the day they are already in town visiting on business. Once they are in town, then agree to meet for a coffee or a glass of wine at the local wine bar, NOT at their hotel bar. That could be promising and leading to more than you really want to deliver until you two know each other better.
Tomorrow I’ll address the topic of using Facebook to meet and date singles local to your metro area.
Happy Dating and Relationships,
