San Francisco Residents Wear Halloween Costumes to Work
It used to be that people would just wear a Halloween costume on the Day of Halloween. If you lived in San Francisco, back in 1980s and 90s, pretty much it was the San Francisco folks who donned a Halloween costume as an adult and just WORE it everywhere they went on the Day of Halloween.
All SF Bay Area Residents Wear Halloween Costumes to Work
Sometime in the 1990s, adults wearing Halloween costumes really spread all around the San Francisco Bay Area, and no longer was it just the prerogative of the San Franciscan, and no longer was it rushing into The Castro (is it still a mad house there annually?), but it is in the Peninsula, San Jose, the East Bay, Contra Costa, Marin, and beyond.
Does Everyone Wear a Halloween Costume to Work?
Some adults won’t wear a full costume regalia. They might don a Halloween accessory. A Tie. A Pin. A Hat. A little something to show they are cool, hip, and with it, but still, they are a corporate, legal, or financial professional and need to still look the part.
In the forthcoming two weeks before Halloween 2011 which falls on a Monday night this year, I’ll be posting and featuring a number of fun Halloween Parties for singles to attend, from wearing your costume while playing a sport at some co-ed singles leagues in San Diego, to Halloween festivities in SoCal with the LDS Singles Groups, to Over 40 and Over 50 Singles Groups hosting singles soirees with a Halloween theme.
Whatever your age and hobbies, you will have quite a number of fun Halloween festivities to choose from. If you love Halloween, this could your chance to have some fun while you are seeking to expand your social circle and just perhaps find lasting love. Perhaps CUPID will be in attendance at the event or events you select to attend.

October 12, 2011 at 7:48 PMA colleage of mine who grew up in the US said she gets homesick at this time of year and really misses the celebrations. It wasn’t a big thing at all when I was growing up in Ireland, and it’s not big here in Mauritius either – although Mauritians normally take any festival irrespective of culture or creed and celebrate enthusiastically! So I’ve never really “got” hallowe’en – I look forward to learning about it from your series on interesting events in the San Francisco area.

October 15, 2011 at 10:32 AMHalloween is getting big now in Europe. I don’t remmeber celebrating it as a kid, we had our own traditional days for dressing up. What it seems very fun is going to work all dressed up for Halloween! I am sure it is easier to catch up the attention of more singles!!!
