Back when I lived in San Francisco and really became aware of all the social options available to singles just to mix things up at a very comfortable and casual mingling level without all the meat market pressures of what is labeled as a “singles event” which by the way I do still like and recommend, I started to be aware of “Scotch Tastings.”
Now of course, living in San Francisco, go ahead and become jealous of us. Yes, it’s true. We lived within a very easy drive of the best areas of the United States for wine, Napa Valley and Sonoma County of Northern California. The wine tastings in both of those areas are very well known. However, there are actually other tasting options.
Ladies, I must tell you, if you want to meet men, and I do mean loads of men, then as a single woman allow me to recommend and tell you about another kind of tasting event, Scotch Tastings. Scotch Tastings are like male bait. I cannot even begin to tell you about how many more men, and I do mean loads upon loads more men than women show up at these events. Yes, other women will be there along with you. However, you will be massively outnumbered by the men. That is the very idea, isn’t it, now ladies, isn’t it?
So for goodness sakes do aim to wear more of cocktail dress ware when you. What that means is, done a skirt or a dress to look utterly fantastically feminine as you in contrast to all the other people. Oh yeah, that would be the scads of MEN there…. Skirts / dresses, high heels, ok? Mmm, maybe a touch of perfume. Certainly lipstick and a little make-up, yes?

Macallan hosts Scotch tastings in major cities around the country. You do need to RSVP at their website, Macallan, in advance of the events in order to attend. Once you RSVP and receive a confirming email, you may bring up to three additional guests with you. Of course, you all need to bring legal identification to demonstrate you all are of legal drinking age in the state where the Scotch tasting event is. Whoever does RVSP, your ID must match the name you used on RSVP guest list.
