A few things here.  If you are a member of the Young Republicans anywhere in Northern California, Northern Nevada, Central California, Southern California, Oregon, and Washington, then plan on swinging on into San Francisco this weekend for the first ever, inaugural convention of the California Young Republican Federation.  This is the kind of event where if you are conservative, you want to be there to be supportive.  Additionally, Ann Coulter and John Yoo will make it an interesting and stimulating event.

I gotta say, if I wasn’t already romantically hooked up, this is just the kind of event that I would have written as like my ideal dream event for optimally meeting someone (OK, yeah, a single guy) with aligned values to mine.   If this event didn’t exist, I would be wanting it to exist!  I’m like, how easy could this be?  Do you want to go to one place for one weekend in a city when the weather is like, hello, perfect, and where all the people who are there are at least generally holding values pretty aligned with yours?  I know.  I’m like, is there a dance bar and club like this that I can just go hang at for a week?

If you’re single, this would be an ideal place to meet singles with aligned values to yours.  Additionally, you will get to network and meet many other people with aligned values to yours.  And where they are more libertarian and you might be a liberally leaning Republican, it will just be so cool to meet and talk with so many of them.  Just imagine, a whole convention of people who think it’s none of the government’s business to pay for everything?  (A girl can dream, can’t she?  My own more Democrat and liberal cousins would be kicking me in the shins by now…)

Elected officials and policy leaders will be there as well making it a marvelously stimulating event.
