Now, I have heard a handful of women say that they tell their men not to give them flowers on Valentine’s Day. I call it The Oomph Factor. They can’t help it. They are biologically and hormonely wired to PURSUE that which they want. So, it is also an attribute which I point out to smart single women to look for and observe in the men who date them. Are they pursuing you? Do they display and demonstrate The Oomph Factor? If not, then not. No worries ladies. Look for the men who make an effort to win you and DO respond with your sweet “Thank you!” Sort of a la The Fisher King wound, so many modern men have been belittled like in the current rash of TV ads portraying men as “idiot” or as “stupid,” when a modern man bestows a bouquet on a modern feminine woman and she utters, “Thank you,” and her admiration and appreciation of his efforts is clear, it is like balm to the truly masculine protective and providing soul! They LOVE it and they eat it up.
So guys, on Valentine’s Day, it starts with you with the Valentine’s Day Dinner Reservation (you have made one by now, yes? Good! I thought so!), a romantic gift, and that special bouquet of roses. Then look for her happily admiring and appreciative receptive response to you!
