Easy Dating Tips for GETTING MORE DATES – Where IS Everyone?
I’m off to Philly bright and EARLY tomorrow. I have Road Warrior Sales and Consulting friends who both already LIVE like that. I just whine about it about once a month or so…. lol.
So my thoughts on a Thursday evening are on The Weekend.
As the weekend approaches and you are thinking about WHAT TO DO, and you’re still single, wistfully sighing thinking you don’t have any dates, and you’re wondering WHAT CAN I DO?
Well, I ask you, WHERE IS EVERYONE?
- Get out your local newspaper
- Hope on over to Yelp
- Check out the listings for your metro area.
What EVENTS are happening this weekend where there will BE PEOPLE?
- Farmers Markets
- Street Fairs
- Food Festivals
- Ethnic/Cultural Festivals
- Floral/Gardening Festivals
When I was at Smith College and serving as a student liaison for the Art Department, listening to presentations from Photography professors applying to teach (I also learned how to make leftovers look VERY appealing and attractive, good Frugal Hostess/Domestic Goddess skills.). 1 whined about how hard it was to find good models. And 1 refreshing mild mannered woman just talked about how EASY it was for her. She would just get out the paper, take a look at the events page, and simply pick an event. There would ALWAYS be other people there. I thought she was BRILLIANT, PRACTICAL, and oh, btw, her photographs were excellent. She got MY vote!
What a marvelous example of a positive attitude and expecting wonderful things in life combined with solid Practical Action Step Implementation. This was her weekly HABIT. It’s like all the singles who don’t date “because they can’t be bothered” until they meet someone who is “perfect” for them. They are missing out every week on the opportunity both to meet and enjoy the unique wonderfulness in each person as well as practice their dating communication skills. Those communication skills which can only be fine-tuned with another single while on a date!
