All girls are so strongly influenced by their fathers.
In my case, I married a dear sweet version of my brother.
And today my father, John Y. Barry, died. I’ll comment on it more later. This weekend I am introspective.
He is why I love to receive Pink Roses. For my 16th birthday, he sent me a dozen pink roses to me at school. I received them in the administrative offices. I felt like A PRINCESS. Not the high maintenance kind. The cherished and beloved kind.
To this day, when men give me beautiful roses, I feel like A PRINCESS! Don’t you? Shouldn’t every woman?
God bless and God speed.

September 28, 2010 at 4:06 AMHi April,
I know I am reading this two years later, but I can feel in your writting how much you loved your dad, he must have been a great man and father. How sweet of him to have sent you a bouquet of flowers to shool! I also understand now why you are always drinking your tea on a pink rose cup!
I feel happy to have read your story,
Love from Spain,
Eva

Great post about love and romance! Yes, I agree completely, as a man I believe every woman needs to treated to be a princess! Not high maintenance like you said, but be treated like a rose!
