My mother is in heaven. My daughter is a birthmother who placed her baby for adoption. So Mother’s Day is a difficult day for us. I miss my mother and my daughter is the world’s greatest mother because she chose to do what was best for her daughter rather than for herself. She is my hero.
We take pride in having given another woman the opportunity to be a mother.

My mom has really gotten cooler since she has aged. lol
i think it was me just getting wiser.
I still have blankets she made me from when I was 10 years old.
I was born on Mother’s Day, too. what a special present – twins!!!!
She even sowed little sleeping bags for my action figures to sleep in – which I still have.

I saw the Sears commercial for Mother’s Day earlier this week, and thought it was very clever (and along the same lines as your post). They were encouraging you to celebrate all of the “moms” in your life – not only your mom, but your older sisters, aunts, mother’s best friends, etc. At the end they show this great photo with all of the “moms” crowded around the little girl. While I know they were pushing you to buy more, I thought it was nice that they recognized that the people who “mother” you may not always be just your mom.

Although it´s way too late to wish a happy mother´s day (lol!) I have an interesting find to share about dating success and the relationship to one´s mother…
Research has shown that the average single guy who is struggling to meet, then date, and then keep women has a more difficult than usual relationship with his mother.
Furthermore, an extremely difficult to non-existent relationship with his mother usually leads to a guy not willing or able to settle down. The tendency is fear of commitment, fear of abandonment, or adopting a player lifestyle.
Do you know what that means?
That especially men should NOT underestimate their relationship with their mom because it leads to acheiving long term success with women way more difficult, several fears and insecurities, etc.
And I can tell you: I used to be one of the guys with no long term success, fear of commitment and a player lifestyle.
Now? I sat down with the mother goose and talked about everything that was on my mind and why we had such a difficult relationship.
So guys, either make it a happy mothers day or have the talk it out or your results with women WILL suffer from it!
