Happy Kwanzaa – Celebrate the Holidays with Family Traditions

Happy Kwanzaa.  We just finished celebrating Christmas and are winding into celebrating New Year’s Eve this forthcoming week.

Often this week is very quiet.  As a single, if you are not presently coupled up, indeed, do continue to take advantage of the Law of Large Numbers of lots of shoppers still heading into the malls for all the holiday special sales.  They are in a shopping frenzy.  However, typically it is not quite so virulent as in the Pre-Christmas shopping crowds.

Kwanzaa offers a wonderful time to be more relaxed and celebrate each of the special days with friends and family without it being all about consumer spending and materialism.  Make those special meals and center your family and friends around the dinner table to fill you home with happy, social, and relationship chi, and you will simultaneously be inviting in romantic relationship energy into your home.

New Years Eve:

With the downturn in the economy, even singles who are in couples are not wanting to go spend the typically over $100 ticket price to celebrate New Years Eve and welcome in 2010.  Even to just go to what is often simply a fun neighborhood bar and grill suddenly on New Years Eve proves daunting as they often want to charge a minimum $75.00 cover-charge.

Start to do some research in your surrounding metro area now for a celebration which is within your budget and will still support you getting out and about, stretching yourself, and meeting new people.  Even couples need the stimulation of newness of others on these special occasions to keep their relationships interesting, invigorating and vital.  You just don’t have to stay out the whole evening until the crack of dawn.

This week I will provide some more tips for singles as well as couples to celebrate New Years Eve while keeping things frugal on a budget.
