Boomer Dating Advise, Eat the BBQ, You’re Off the Hook

by April Braswell on May 23, 2009

Something to remember with all your dating efforts and following a strategy for dating to create lasting intimacy is to remember to stop and sniff the roses, or in the case of Memorial Day Weekend, stop and eat the BBQ.

You’ve had a busy few weeks.  Done you personal brand assessment and preparation, contemplated your brand, selected three words to use to convey your brand in your Online Dating Profile. You’ve even been assessing your goal about doing internet dating.  Am I looking for NSA, a Casual Relationship for now?  Or am I looking for longer term, marriage oriented commitment?

That’s great.

The point I am making is YES sometimes you need to take a break.

Albeit, a SHORT one.  You are off the hook TODAY for Memorial Day Weekend (or maybe your break from Single Boomer Dating work will be Monday when the United States officially observes Memorial Day.  Invest your day with your friends, with your family, with those who are close.  Nosh on some BBQ, grill something yummy.

Tomorrow we will back to work!

Happy Dating and Relationships,

April Braswell

Today is the day to stop and make the BBQ – then eat it. Enjoy your weekend.

Today is a fun day for me and mine. I am going to work now and play later. But I will be playing with no cell phone or laptop or notepad! I am ravenously hungry and am going to eat, eat, eat! Have a great one.

April,

BBQ is part of the national psyche in Australia.

Remember Paul Hogan (from Crocodile Dundee movie) who did an ad for Australia Tourist Bureau, saying the iconic statement,” Throw a shrimp into the barbie” ?

I’m not sure that BBQ means the same thing to y’all as it does to us Southerners…
But it is all good!

It’s good to recharge the batteries once in a while.
